We are constantly developing more efficient ways to maintain aquariums in order to provide our customers with superior service. Whether your aquarium requires daily, weekly, or bi-weekly service, you can count on us to deliver the best service.

A routine service call is defined as a visit to a customer who has their aquarium serviced at least once every two weeks.
This is our most commonly used service and our best value as we are able to schedule appointments in a manner that allows us to call upon multiple customers in a particular geographical area. When using our routine service plan, your service appointment is chosen by SFI, and you will be notified 7-10 days prior to your appointment time. Typically your appointment will be the same time and day each visit. However, as we build more customers in your area, we may change our schedule to make it the most logistically accommodating. We arrive between 15 minutes before to 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment time; should we be running late, we will give you a courtesy call. If we are running more than 30 minutes late we will accommodate you at your convenience if the appointment needs to be rescheduled due to our unexpected lateness.

A typical service includes removal of all ornaments, gravel cleaning, filter media replacement, water change, and cleaning of interior and exterior glass. All equipment is cleaned, inspected, and repaired if necessary. Medication is also added when needed. Customers are charged for any medications and replacement parts not under warranty. Fish and fish food are available for purchase and delivery.

First Time Consultation $75.00
If you are a first time customer your system will have to undergo an inspection by one of our staff Technicians. During the consultation the technician will inspect all operating equipment and make recommendations as they see fit in order to minimize loss, and to maintain the best environment for the display inhabitants. This is a great time to discuss with the technician what you want to see in the aquarium. (Routine service is defined as service completed no less than once every two weeks.)

Freshwater Aquariums 49 Gallons and Below
Aquariums in this size range are generally serviced between 30 minutes to an hour. Routine service for these aquariums is billed at fixed rate of $65 an hour. An onsite consultation will be required to begin routine service.

Freshwater Aquariums 49-90 Gallons
Aquariums in within this size range are usually serviced within 45 minutes to an hour Routine service for these aquariums is billed at fixed rate of $81.25 an hour. An onsite consultation will be required to begin routine service.

Freshwater Aquariums 91 Gallons and Above
Aquariums in this size range are typically serviced within an hour to 75 minutes. Routine service rates for aquariums of this size are quoted at the time of the required onsite consultation. The minimum rate for service on aquariums this size is $97.50 an hour.

Saltwater Aquariums First Visit - $65/hr (2 hour min)
Every sequential visit within at least 2 weeks of your prior service will be a fixed rate that will be determined at the time of your consultation. The minimum fee for any routine saltwater service visit is $97.50 an hour. If you go longer than two weeks for service on our routine service plan, your next visit will be billed at $65 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours. An onsite consultation will be required to price the job.

Multiple Aquariums in the Same Location
A custom quote will be completed at the time of the onsite consultation for service. (The service quote will be figured by estimating the length of time each service visit will require and multiplying that by $65 per hour). In addition a surcharge of $16.25 for freshwater aquariums or $32.50 for saltwater aquariums will be added to the quote.

If your tank goes longer than two weeks without service, this rate is not valid; your rate will default to a non-routine service rate.

Non-Routine Service Rate
A non-routine service call is any call that is NOT regularly scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly service plan. The rate for this service is $65 per hour, plus any service charges, (including traveling time), with an hour and a half hour minimum for freshwater and a 2 hour minimum for saltwater.
