Kurt Harrington is the founder of Something Fishy, Inc., a unique company that designs, sells, and maintains indoor aquariums and outdoor waterscapes; catering to each customer’s specific needs. The journey of Something Fishy began in Kurt’s early high school years where he began earning money by cleaning fish tanks in people’s homes. Knowing that this is something that people would prefer to not do on their own, he knew that his services would be greatly needed. Initially, Kurt’s goal was to earn money to help put him through college. By the time Kurt reached the age of seventeen, his entrepreneurial sense had arisen and he recognized that his services were very important (considering that one in eight US households owned fish as pets). Realizing the underserved market, he took the opportunity to develop a new standard for the aquarium industry. He created a company that could provide expert advice, quality products, and reputable services to the aquarium trade. Something Fishy’s focus began by offering clients custom or standard aquarium décor for their home or office. By adding more specialized services, Something Fishy has widened its potential to provide both indoor and outdoor waterscapes. By providing such specialized and unique work, Kurt has gained many high profile clients such as Pfizer, Foxwoods Resort & Casino, American Power Conversion, Wal-Mart, PetCo, The United States Government, and many other residential and commercial clients.

Today, Kurt’s main focal point is on strategic planning and business development, as the energetic team at Something Fishy continues to deploy their business plan, and develop a business model that redefines the aquarium industry.
